About The Loft 419
A historic building. A forward-looking community. The story of how The Loft 419 became Toledo's home for innovation.
What Does 419 Mean?
419 is more than an area code, it's an identity. It covers Toledo and the stretch of northwest Ohio that earned the Glass City name, moved cargo down the Maumee for a century, and still builds Jeeps on the same ground it has for more than eighty years. For those who grew up here, moved here, or chose to build here, 419 means pride in a city that's always been underestimated and always punched above its weight.
That pride shows up in the shops that stayed when leaving was easier, the buildings saved when tearing down was cheaper, and the founders who planted roots downtown instead of chasing Columbus or Chicago. The Loft 419 takes that pride seriously. Every decision we make is rooted in the belief that Toledo deserves world-class infrastructure for its entrepreneurs, creatives, and remote workers.
We're not building despite Toledo. We're building for Toledo.
The Team Behind the Loft
Ericca
Director, The Loft 419
Ericca serves as Director of The Loft 419, overseeing day-to-day operations, member experience, and community programming. She is the connective tissue between the space and the people who make it what it is.
Our Values
Integrity
Transparency, trust, and equity in everything we do. We say what we mean, price what we promise, and hold ourselves accountable to the community we serve.
Curiosity
The best ideas come from asking the right questions. The Loft 419 is a space for experimentation, learning, and the kind of thinking that doesn't fit in a cubicle.
Collaboration
We build community, not just coworking. Inclusion and co-creation are at the heart of everything, from how we design our events to how we welcome new members.
The Road Ahead
The Loft 419 is just getting started. The immediate focus is on deepening the programming available to members. More structured mentorship, more educational events, and more pathways for entrepreneurs to find what they need inside these walls.
Longer term, the goal is to become the connective tissue of Toledo's innovation ecosystem, a place where the city's best ideas find the resources, people, and space to become real.
Partnerships with local organizations, the Toledo area Parks District, and regional institutions are part of that vision, bringing more programming, more access, and more opportunity to the 419.
